This Privacy Policy explains what information MR Web Deals ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, how we use it and the choices you have. We collect as little personal information as possible.
Information we collect
- Anonymous usage statistics: pages viewed, the deal you clicked, the time, your device type (mobile, tablet or desktop), your browser's user-agent and the referring page (without its query string). We store a one-way hashed version of your IP address with a salt that changes every day, so it cannot be linked across days — we do not store your raw IP address for this purpose.
- Search terms you type into our search box, stored as totals (the term and how often it was searched), without any link to you.
- Contact form: the name, email address and message you send us.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of first-party cookies needed to run the website, and — only if you allow them — analytics and advertising cookies from Google. See our Cookie Policy for the full list. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Google Analytics
If analytics is switched on, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used (for example, which pages and deals are popular). We send Google events such as page views, searches and clicks on deal buttons, with the deal's ID, name, store, category and price. We do not send your name, email address or other information that identifies you. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept analytics cookies. Advertising (Google AdSense)
If advertising is switched on, some pages show advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites, but only if you accept advertising cookies; otherwise Google may show non-personalised ads, which use cookies for frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting where the law allows. You can manage personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. Advertisements are always labelled "Advertisement" and are separate from our deal buttons.
Affiliate links
When you click a deal you leave MR Web Deals and go to the store's website, sometimes through an affiliate network's redirect. The store and the network may set their own cookies to record that the visit came from us, so that we can be paid a commission. Those websites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
Spam protection (CAPTCHA)
If switched on, our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA or Cloudflare Turnstile, which analyse technical information about your visit to tell people from automated programs. Their use is governed by the provider's privacy policy and terms.
How we use information
- To operate, secure and improve the website and understand which deals are useful.
- To count affiliate link clicks so we can check commission reports from affiliate networks.
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To protect the website against abuse, spam and security threats.
Data retention
Daily anonymous visitor identifiers are deleted after two days. Page-view records (the page, where the visit came from, the device type and a visitor code that changes every day — no IP address) are kept for up to 90 days; after that only daily totals remain. Click records are kept for reporting. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.
Your choices and rights
- Accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies with Cookie settings, and clear or block cookies in your browser.
- Ask us about, correct or delete information you sent us — use the contact page.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The latest version, with its date, is always on this page.
